Our independent practice utilises a network of Forensic and Clinical Psychologists to provide services to criminal justice, social and health agencies. All of our Psychologists are Chartered with the British Psychological Society and Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. In the past we have received referrals and worked with HM Prison Service, HM Courts Service, the National Probation Service, G4S, Cardiff Metropolitan University and various legal representatives across the UK. Our work is often undertaken in prisons, mental health and community settings and we work with a varied client group including those with learning disabilities, personality disorder, and mental disorder. All of our client group have been convicted of, or are at risk of committing criminal offences. We have particular expertise in working with high risk sexual and violent offenders and men who have committed domestic abuse. We aim to use our knowledge and expertise of Psychology to help the client and referring agency understand and manage the behaviour. We can act as expert witnesses in formal proceedings, but also deliver an informal and user-friendly service to clients and agencies that require our help. This is achieved through various means of assessment, intervention, consultancy, supervision and training.
We have an office base in Newport with easy access to South Wales and the South West of England. We regularly work in Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol and Gloucester. We alse receive referrals from other parts of the UK including the West Midlands, North East and North West of England, and North Wales. We are happy to consider referrals from across the country.
